Officials in California are seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman whose body was discovered in the Dominguez Channel in southern Los Angeles County. The body was found missing both legs, and the woman’s age, race, height, and weight are currently unknown. The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner described the woman as having a large skin tag on her torso and stretch marks on her lower abdomen. She was found wearing an XL sleeveless, button-up “Old Navy” knit dress. The cause and manner of her death are still pending.
The woman’s body was found in Carson, located between Interstate 405 and the SouthBay Pavilion Mall. Authorities released a photo of the dress she was wearing in hopes that someone may recognize it. Sheriff’s homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 213-229-1700.
