Meanwhile, in Dallas, an attempted kidnapping occurred on Old Pond Drive when a man in a white SUV tried to lure a child into his vehicle. The child managed to escape, but the man fled the scene. Dallas police are now searching for a white Toyota 4Runner with the license plate THS9209, and a dark-colored Chevy pickup may also be involved.
Both incidents are unrelated, but they serve as a reminder for parents and children to remain vigilant while out and about, especially with more kids walking and biking to school.
