George Clooney has denied reports that he and Brad Pitt were each paid $35 million for their roles in the new film “Wolfs.” Clooney mentioned this during a press conference at the Venice Film Festival. He stated that the reported salary was inaccurate and much lower than what was claimed, adding that such misinformation could harm the film industry.
According to Clooney, he and Pitt had to navigate challenges in making and selling movies, especially in the post-COVID era. He also revealed that they had given portions of their salaries back after a deal for a theatrical release fell through. Clooney expressed disappointment about the limited release of the film but acknowledged that it was still reaching a wide audience.
The film “Wolfs” marks the first time Clooney and Pitt have appeared on screen together in 16 years. They play fixers tasked with covering up crimes, thrown together on a challenging assignment. The movie will be in theaters on Sept. 20 and available for streaming on AppleTV+ a week later.
Despite the setbacks faced during the production and release of “Wolfs,” Clooney and Pitt remain committed to the film and are optimistic about its reception by audiences. Their collaboration on this project showcases their dedication to creating quality content and navigating the ever-changing landscape of the film industry.
