Authorities in Lewisville, Texas are continuing their search for a man believed to have drowned in Lewisville Lake on Sunday. The man, described as being in his late 20s, was on a rental boat in the southeast area of the lake when he jumped in to swim and never resurfaced. He was not wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident.
The Lewisville Fire Department Dive Team and Game Warden were called in to search for the man, but had to call off the search on Sunday night due to inclement weather. As of now, the man’s body has not been recovered.
The incident serves as a tragic reminder of the importance of water safety and the need for individuals to take proper precautions when participating in water activities. The Lewisville Fire Department is continuing their efforts to locate the man and bring closure to his family and loved ones.
