A lucky resident of Plano, Texas has recently hit the jackpot, winning $1.25 million playing the Texas Two Step draw game from the Texas Lottery. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket for the Aug. 22 drawing at the Walmart Fuel Center on Coit Road. The ticket matched all four white ball numbers (16-29-32-35) as well as the red Bonus Ball (35).
This win marks the second Two Step jackpot sold in Plano this year, with a winning ticket worth $375,000 being purchased at C Store on Preston Road on March 28. The current Texas Two Step jackpot sits at $225,000, with jackpots starting at $200,000 and increasing until a winner is found. Drawings for the game take place on Mondays and Thursdays.
Since 1992, the Texas Lottery has generated over $39 billion in revenue for the state, with more than $88 billion in prizes distributed to players. The Texas Lottery has also contributed over $33.5 billion to the Foundation School Fund since 1997, supporting public education in the state. Additionally, the lottery has contributed over $246 million since 2009 to programs that support Texas veterans.
