Missing Wisconsin 3-year-old Elijah Vue’s Remains Discovered

Human remains recovered last week in Wisconsin have been confirmed to belong to Elijah Vue, a toddler who has been missing since February. The Two Rivers Police Department announced this confirmation at a news conference, expressing their devastation over the outcome. The remains, including a skull and bones, were found on a private property by a deer hunter preparing for hunting season. The area where the remains were discovered was a couple miles away from where Elijah was reported missing. Despite extensive searches and recovery of evidence like a blanket and a vehicle, authorities were unable to locate Elijah until now.

Elijah Vue was reported missing by his mother’s boyfriend in February, with the boyfriend stating that Elijah had disappeared after being ordered to pray as a punishment. Both the mother and boyfriend were arrested and currently face child neglect charges. In light of the recent discovery of Elijah’s remains, the case has transitioned into a death investigation. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and are working to provide updates as the investigation progresses.

Police Chief Benjamin Meinnert expressed gratitude for the community’s support and asked for privacy for Elijah’s family as they grieve. The investigation will be thorough and may take time, as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding Elijah’s disappearance and death.
