Donald Trump recently gave a detailed account of his experience during an alleged assassination attempt at his West Palm Beach golf club. He was playing golf with friends when he heard gunshots and was swiftly evacuated by the Secret Service. Trump praised the agent who fired their weapon in response to a rifle poking out of the bushes, and also commended a civilian for capturing the suspect’s license plate.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect did not fire any shots and Trump was not in the gunman’s sight during the incident. The suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, has shown varying political beliefs, while Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was killed in another attempt on Trump’s life, displayed anti-Semitic and anti-immigrant views.
Trump blamed President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for the attempted assassination, accusing them of inciting political violence. However, Harris and the White House condemned such actions. Trump mentioned speaking to Biden, who he said was cordial, but criticized Harris as a potential “Marxist Communist president.”
The incident has sparked concerns about political violence in the country, with Trump asserting that he is the one who will save the country from destruction. Despite these events, Trump has continued to engage in public appearances and make statements about his political opponents.
