The city of Mansfield, Texas, is set to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most drones launching fireworks simultaneously. The event, organized in partnership with local drone company Sky Element Drones, will take place on Saturday at 9 p.m. near Mansfield Sports Park. The current record, held by a South Korean company with 1,068 drones, will be challenged with thousands of drones aiming to create a spectacular show in the night sky.
Due to safety reasons, spectators will not be allowed inside the park, but can watch for free from the surrounding areas. The event will also be live-streamed online for those unable to attend in person. The performance, set to music on 88.9 FM, will be supervised by an official adjudicator from Guinness World Records to ensure the attempt meets the required standards.
