Irving firefighter Joshua Brandes tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash in Parker County on Tuesday. The crash, which involved an 18-wheeler and a Cadillac sedan, occurred on FM 51 south of Highway 199 in Springtown. Brandes, a paramedic and fire equipment operator with over 13 years of service to the city, was off-duty at the time of the incident.
First responders from various agencies paid their respects by escorting Brandes’ body to the medical examiner’s office. The Irving Fire Department released a statement on social media asking the community to keep Brandes’ family and fellow department members in their thoughts and prayers as they mourn his passing.
