Fort Worth MORE THAN PINK walk surpasses $400K goal for breast cancer research

Thousands of breast cancer survivors, loved ones, and supporters gathered for Susan G. Komen’s MORE THAN PINK Walk in Fort Worth, raising over $400,000 for breast cancer research and awareness. The event, which took place at the Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth, saw a turnout of 4,000 participants.

With statistics showing that a woman dies from breast cancer every 12 minutes in the US, the importance of events like these cannot be understated. Experts believe that one-third of all breast cancer deaths in the country could be prevented with increased awareness and early detection.

The success of the Fort Worth walk has set a positive tone for the upcoming Race for the Cure in Dallas on October 19th. Registration for the event is open at komen.org/dallasrace, where participants can also find resources and information about the cause.

FOX 4, a proud sponsor of the event, is committed to supporting the fight against breast cancer through initiatives like the MORE THAN PINK Walk. Together, communities across the country are joining forces to raise funds and awareness, working towards a future where breast cancer is no longer a life-threatening disease.
