Police arrest four members of Tren de Aragua gang in large-scale operation in San Antonio: PD

Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety, alongside the FBI, Homeland Security, and other agencies, launched a massive operation resulting in the arrest of more than a dozen individuals connected to the infamous Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. The operation was in response to reports of human trafficking, narcotics violations, and threats made to apartment staff in San Antonio.

Dubbed “Operation Aurora,” the mission aimed to tackle the activities of the TdA gang, suspected of utilizing vacant apartments in the 10300 block of Sahara Drive. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus confirmed that nearly 300 vacant apartments were cleared during the operation, which involved more than 150 officers and agents.

A total of 19 people were arrested, including four members of the TdA gang, with one described as an “enforcer.” McManus issued a warning to perpetrators, stating that law enforcement authorities are well aware of their activities and will continue to pursue them relentlessly.

Furthermore, 15 of the individuals arrested also faced detention orders from immigration authorities for violating immigration laws. The Texas Department of Public Safety has been actively monitoring TdA gang activity across the state, indicating a coordinated effort to combat criminal elements in the region.
