Suspect in Mesquite storage unit robbery captured in Trackdown

Mesquite police have made progress in solving the recent string of storage unit burglaries that occurred in August. After FOX 4 aired a video of the suspects wanted for burglarizing 17 units at a Public Storage facility in Mesquite, viewers provided tips that led to the arrest of one suspect, William Kinser.

The video, shared by reporter Shaun Rabb, showed at least two suspects breaking into the units. Thanks to tips from the public, Mesquite police were able to identify Kinser as one of the individuals involved in the burglaries. Investigators located a white Camry seen in the video at the Park Forest Inn in Dallas and were able to tie it to Kinser.

Kinser was arrested for outstanding warrants and charged with the burglaries. However, police are still working to identify additional suspects involved in the crimes. Mesquite Police Department Lt. Michael Kelly provided the information for this story.

The police believe that Kinser, who was arrested on burglary charges, is one of the individuals responsible for the break-ins at the storage units. The swift action taken by the authorities in response to the public’s tips demonstrates the importance of community involvement in solving crimes. The Mesquite police department is urging anyone with information on the remaining suspects to come forward and help bring them to justice.
