Rural Collin County mansion ravaged by fire


A massive fire destroyed a luxurious 7,000-square-foot home in Josephine, Collin County on Thursday afternoon. The home, located in the 500 block of Justin Place, was valued at about $1.3 million and featured six bedrooms, an indoor pool, and a four-car garage. Images from SKY 4 showed thick black smoke and intense flames engulfing the back of the multi-story house. Fortunately, all occupants escaped unharmed.

Firefighters from multiple agencies responded to the scene, but encountered water supply issues due to the lack of a fire hydrant in the area. The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation by the Collin County Fire Marshal and the Farmersville Fire Department.
