Hezbollah rockets target northern Israel and drone hits Netanyahu’s home in ongoing conflict between Israel and Lebanon

A drone has hit Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s holiday home in Caesarea, triggering air raid sirens across Israel’s northern region, including Tel Aviv. The attack is believed to be an assassination attempt, although this cannot be confirmed. The Israeli military intercepted two other drones launched from Lebanon, with over 100 rockets fired across northern Israel. At least 13 people were injured in the attacks. Hezbollah, an Iran-aligned group, has been engaging in fire exchanges with Israel since last October. The use of decoy rockets from Lebanon was used to launch the drone attack on Netanyahu’s house. The incident has raised serious concerns in Israel about the security situation, as the drone managed to strike its target without being detected. Sirens were activated in several cities, including Haifa, a strategic port city with a population of 300,000. Netanyahu was not present in the home at the time of the attack and there were no casualties reported. The Israeli security establishment is treating the incident with grave seriousness and is investigating the situation further.
