General Motors is on a mission to showcase its range of electric vehicles and the technology behind them, calling electric vehicles the “mobility of the future.” Employees, community leaders, and partners were invited to an event hosted by GM Financial in Arlington, where they had the opportunity to test drive models such as the Chevrolet Silverado EV, Blazer EV, Equinox EV, Cadillac LYRIQ, and GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV. The event aimed to educate attendees about the EV marketplace, including information on charging station options and EV technology.
A GM spokeswoman expressed hope that the event would encourage more employees to consider purchasing an EV, as demand for electric vehicles has been fluctuating. Chief DEI Officer Shunda Robinson highlighted the importance of educating the public about EVs and their available options to increase demand. GM Financial plans to host similar events nationwide to generate interest in electric vehicles and promote partnership with General Motors in educating and empowering communities and partners.
FOX 4’s Dionne Anglin attended the event and spoke with Shunda Robinson, emphasizing GM’s commitment to showcasing its EV offerings and engaging with the public to drive the adoption of electric vehicles. With events like these, General Motors hopes to drive awareness about electric vehicles and inspire more people to consider an EV purchase for the future of mobility.
