World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has officially launched the WWE Independent Development (WWE ID) program, designating five wrestling schools around the country as part of the initiative. These schools include Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling, Cody Rhodes’ Nightmare Factory, Seth Rollins’ Black and Brave Academy, Elite Pro Wrestling Training Center, and KnokX Pro Academy.
The goal of the program is to provide opportunities for up-and-coming independent wrestlers to pursue a career with WWE, by identifying top talent and providing financial support, training, and development opportunities. WWE Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, expressed excitement about supporting these aspiring wrestlers on their journey to becoming WWE Superstars.
Booker T, who started his promotion as Pro Wrestling Alliance and rebranded it as Reality of Wrestling in 2012, expressed pride in being a part of the WWE ID program. He tweeted about taking his school to the next level with the support of WWE.
The launch of WWE ID signifies a significant step in WWE’s commitment to nurturing and developing talent in the wrestling industry. By recognizing and supporting independent wrestlers, WWE is playing a crucial role in shaping the future of professional wrestling.
