After 40 years on air, North Texas Christian contemporary radio station KLTY is set to close on Jan. 31. The company recently sold the station to K-Love, but fans will still be able to enjoy Christian music on 94.9. Morning show co-host Bonnie Curry, who has been with KLTY for 30 years, expressed gratitude for the memories shared with listeners over the years. She is confident that fans will enjoy the new format provided by K-Love. A special event will be held on Saturday at Compass Church in Colleyville for fans to say goodbye to their favorite radio hosts. Memorabilia, including gold records and a signed guitar, will be given away, with the first 1,000 attendees receiving a limited-edition t-shirt. The closing of KLTY marks the end of an era for many listeners who have grown up listening to the station. Despite the sadness of the closure, fans can look forward to celebrating the station’s legacy on its final day on air. The transition to K-Love may bring new opportunities for the Dallas-Fort Worth community to continue receiving uplifting Christian music.
