Mike DeCourcy of FOX Sports has released his latest NCAA Tournament bracket projections following a weekend of standout performances. Duke, Auburn, and Iowa State maintain their positions as No. 1 seeds, with Alabama moving up to the 1-line after a win over Kentucky. Tennessee drops to a No. 2 seed alongside Kentucky and Marquette.
Michigan State joins the 2-line after defeating Illinois, with Oregon, Kansas, Florida, and Purdue rounding out the No. 3 seeds. Houston, Illinois, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M make up the No. 4 seeds in DeCourcy’s projections.
On the bubble are teams like Pitt, Ohio State, UCF, and Wake Forest fighting for a spot in the tournament, while Texas, SMU, Nebraska, and Xavier are on the outside looking in. The SEC has the most representatives in DeCourcy’s bracket with 12 teams, followed by the Big Ten with nine, and the Big 12 with eight.
DeCourcy’s projections also include six ACC teams, four Big East teams, three Mountain West teams, and two teams from the West Coast. The SEC has 12 teams in the tournament, the Big Ten has nine, the Big 12 has eight, the ACC has six, the Big East has four, the Mountain West has three, and the West Coast has two.
