Lawmakers in several states are proposing to rename roadways after former President Donald Trump following his inauguration on Monday. In Arizona, a bill aims to rename State Route 260 as the “Donald J. Trump Highway,” citing his achievements as president. In Kentucky, State Rep. T.J. Roberts is pushing to name part of Kentucky Route 18 as Donald J. Trump Highway. In Missouri, a bill was drafted in 2021 to rename a portion of Interstate 55 as the “Donald J Trump Highway.” Trump already has roads named after him in Montana, Oklahoma, and Florida. The cost of signage for the highways would be covered by private donations. Legislators in these states are seeking to honor Trump’s presidency by naming roads after him.
