Fort Worth police have arrested 22-year-old Koby Burkhart for a deadly road rage shooting that took the life of 62-year-old Ricky Langs. The incident was captured on Langs’ dash cam, which led police directly to the suspect. Burkhart initially claimed he shot Langs in self-defense because he believed the victim had a gun, but Langs did not have a weapon in his car. Burkhart tried to cover his tracks by changing his license plates and hiding his SUV under a tarp, but officers found the real plates and the gun used in the shooting in his house. Langs’ daughter, Shelby Johnson, expressed gratitude for her father’s dash cam, which helped identify the killer. She plans to attend all court proceedings to see justice served for her father. While nothing can bring Langs back, Johnson believes that getting Burkhart off the streets brings some closure to the tragic situation. The Fort Worth Police Department is urging anyone with information about the case to come forward. The investigation is ongoing, and Burkhart is facing murder charges for the deadly road rage incident.
