Hogs Dominate Day Two of Texas State Tournament with Record-Breaking Sweep


The No. 13/14 Arkansas Razorbacks had a record-breaking day in their doubleheader at the Texas State Tournament, winning big over Lipscomb 23-0 in game one and defeating Bradley 3-1 in game two. In their explosive win against Lipscomb, the Hogs set program records for runs scored, margin of victory, total bases, doubles, and walks. Raigan Kramer led the way with four RBI, including a three-run homer. Freshman Ava Carter also had a stellar game with a double, triple, and three RBI. Bri Ellis hit her 50th career home run in the victory.

In game two against Bradley, freshman pitcher Payton Burnham earned her first collegiate win, striking out eight over 6.1 innings. Cam Harrison closed the game to secure the win. The Razorbacks showed their depth with five players recording hits in the game.

Head Coach Courtney Deifel was pleased with the team’s performance, emphasizing the ability to consistently score runs and praising the competitiveness of players like Cam Harrison. The team’s impressive stats included setting a program record with 23 runs scored against Lipscomb and hitting 36 total bases.
