NBC New York: Vince Neil’s Role in Arizona Plane Crash


Rock legend Vince Neil’s private jet was involved in a deadly collision at Arizona’s Scottsdale Airport on Monday. The singer, known for his role in the band Mötley Crüe, was not on board at the time of the crash. The National Transportation and Safety Board is investigating the incident, in which one person on board Neil’s Learjet 35A jet tragically lost their life.

Mötley Crüe, formed in 1981, has had immense success, selling over 100 million records worldwide. Neil, the band’s lead singer, expressed his condolences for those involved in the crash and appreciation for the first responders. Details about the incident are still emerging.

Aviation tragedies have been prominent in recent years, with disasters like the Boeing crashes in 2018 and 2019, as well as the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappearance in 2014. More recently, a commercial jetliner and an Army helicopter collided near Washington, D.C., resulting in 67 fatalities. In Philadelphia, a medical transportation plane crash claimed seven lives, and in Alaska, ten people died in a small commuter plane crash.
