McNeese’s 4×400-meter relay team achieved a significant milestone at the Texas Tech Jarvis Scott Open by breaking a 4-year-old school record with a time of 3:11.76. The team, featuring Nicholas Moron, Tray’Quan Francis, Jaden Powell, and Ondray Miles, also claimed the second-fastest time in the Southland Conference and 13th-fastest in the South Central Region. Additionally, Kalen Beavers set a personal record in the 200-meters, while Jaslyn Russell achieved a new personal best in the shot put.
At the event, Alex Martin finished third in the mile run, and Amire Ledet placed eighth in the triple jump. The team’s strong performances have set the stage for the upcoming LSU Twilight Invite and the Southland Conference Indoor Championships.
