A Dallas man, Taurick Demon Walker, 43, has been sentenced to over 10 years in prison for robbing multiple banks while on parole for a previous bank robbery. Walker was sentenced to 105 months for the most recent bank robberies and another 24 months for violating his parole conditions. Walker’s criminal history includes being convicted of a bank robbery in March 2018 and serving six years in prison before being released on parole in March 2023.
Just five months after being released on parole, Walker robbed a Regions Bank in Irving on August 10, followed by robbing a Truist Bank and a Wells Fargo location in Garland on August 18. For all three robberies, Walker used notes demanding money from the tellers, and was recognized by a family member due to a distinctive cowboy hat he wore during one of the robberies. Investigators were able to connect Walker to the robberies using Flock license plate readers, leading to his arrest and subsequent guilty plea in October 2024.
Walker was sentenced to a total of 129 months in prison in February 2025, marking his return to prison for over a decade. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas provided the information on Walker’s criminal history and sentencing. This serves as a cautionary tale of the consequences of repeated criminal behavior, as Walker now faces a lengthy period of incarceration for his actions.
