Nevada suffers second defeat of season against Texas Tech, falling 4-1

Nevada Men’s Tennis had their three-match winning streak snapped with a 4-1 loss to Texas Tech. Despite the defeat, Youssef Kadiri secured his 21st win of the season, placing him in the top 10 on the single-season victories list. Texas Tech claimed the doubles point with strong performances on courts two and three. Kadiri and Trégourès fell to Stewart and Vaccari on court two, while Théate and Contet were defeated by Arsic and Guglieri on court three. Guglieri and Arsic then extended Texas Tech’s lead with singles victories, putting them within one point of clinching the match. Kadiri salvaged a point for Nevada with a dominant win over Pawlak in the top-flight match.

However, Texas Tech ultimately secured the win with Abboud defeating Contet on court six. Théate was leading in his match when play was abandoned. Nevada now sets its sights on a neutral-site match against Florida Gulf Coast, looking to bounce back from their defeat. The upcoming match is scheduled for 9 a.m. PT and will offer live results for fans to follow and support the team. Despite the loss, Nevada remains focused on regaining momentum and continuing their pursuit of success in the season ahead.
