Highlights and Lowlights of the 2025 SAG Awards

The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on Feb. 23, streaming live on Netflix for the second year in a row and hosted by Kristen Bell. The night saw various wins, such as Timothée Chalamet for “A Complete Unknown,” “Conclave” for best ensemble, and Demi Moore for “The Substance.” Some notable snubs included Denzel Washington and Nicole Kidman, while Pamela Anderson found success after being snubbed by the Oscars.

In television, “Shõgun” led with five nominations, followed by “The Bear” and “The Penguin.” Best moments from the ceremony included Harrison Ford photobombing Jessica Williams, Kristen Bell paying homage to actors’ early roles, and various reunions between co-stars like Ted Danson and William Jackson Harper.

Kieran Culkin’s speech for his win in a supporting role was a highlight of the night, with him jokingly calling out Adrien Brody and counting down his time onstage. However, there were some awkward moments as well, such as a presentation for “Emilia Perez” that failed to address a controversial absence from the film’s campaign, and Jane Fonda’s lifetime achievement award speech was interrupted by a tech glitch.

Despite some hiccups, the 2025 SAG Awards showcased the best and worst moments in entertainment as actors celebrated their achievements and faced some unexpected challenges throughout the night.
