Health officials are asking people who were at these locations to monitor themselves for symptoms such as a high fever, cough, rash, and sore throat. The city is also asking individuals to stay at home and contact a healthcare provider if they develop any symptoms. The University of Texas at San Antonio is working closely with the San Antonio Metro Health District to inform those who may have been exposed to the infected visitor. Although the risk of infection is low for vaccinated individuals, it is important to be vigilant and monitor for symptoms. The city is currently facing an ongoing outbreak of measles in the area, and the infected visitor is believed to have been infectious during their visit to UTSA. Officials are urging people to take precautions and seek medical attention if needed.
