Dallas Teen In Critical Condition After Hit-and-Run; Good Samaritan Jumps Into Action

A 13-year-old boy, Bradley Daniels Jr., is in critical condition in Dallas after being struck by a pick-up truck in a hit-and-run incident. The boy suffered a skull fracture, brain bleeding, and other injuries. The incident occurred as he was walking with friends in the grassy median on Wheatland Road in Dallas’ Red Bird neighborhood. The driver of the truck fled the scene, leaving the boy injured in the street.

Fortunately, a Good Samaritan named Kenetra Williams stopped to help Bradley. She called 911 and reported the incident, likely saving precious time in getting him medical attention. The hit-and-run driver, who fled the scene, is still at large. The victim’s parents, Kelisha Gichuki and Bradley Daniels Sr., are urging anyone with information to contact the Dallas Police Department.

Despite the severity of his injuries, Bradley’s parents say the bleeding in his brain has stopped, and he is expected to survive. The boy enjoys playing baseball and running track, and his parents are grateful for the Good Samaritan’s quick action in helping their son. They stress the importance of vigilance while walking, but emphasize that there is no excuse for a driver not to stop after hitting a young child.

The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect’s vehicle and providing any information related to the hit-and-run incident. The community is coming together to support Bradley and his family during this difficult time.
