Beloved television judge Judith “Judge Judy” Sheindlin recently took a trip down memory lane by singing her high school’s fight song with fellow alum Aunt Chippy. Both Sheindlin and Aunt Chippy graduated from James Madison High School in Brooklyn, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The impromptu duet was captured on video and shared with The Post, showcasing their school spirit and nostalgia for their alma mater.
Sheindlin expressed her excitement for the milestone, joking that she’s glad something older than she is still around. James Madison High School has produced a number of notable alumni, including Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Chuck Schumer, and Chris Rock. Sheindlin reflected on the enduring impact of her high school experience, noting that the school’s cheer still resonates with her after all these years.
The encounter between Sheindlin and Aunt Chippy took place at Keep Memory Alive’s Power of Love gala, where Sheindlin presented an award to philanthropists Lovee and Bob Arum for their support of brain health research. The event also honored late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, a Las Vegas native, who was praised by celebrity friends including Kristen Bell, Billy Crystal, and Anthony Anderson.
Kimmel expressed his gratitude and surprise at the outpouring of support, reflecting on his humble roots as a pizza delivery boy listening to comedy albums. The gala was a heartwarming celebration of friendship, philanthropy, and the enduring connections forged through shared experiences like high school.
