A dramatic cliffside rescue mission took place in Laguna Beach on Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, when a young man, Noah Kemp, found himself stuck on a cliff in Southern California. Kemp had climbed 20 feet up a hill at an Orange County beach, but reached a point where he could not move further.
The Laguna Beach Fire Department, along with lifeguards, responded to the scene. Lifeguards used drones to assess the situation and communicate with Kemp, who was stuck about two-thirds of the way up the cliff. It was determined that a helicopter airlift would be necessary to rescue him.
Video footage shared by the Orange County Fire Authority captured the daring rescue operation, as a rescuer safely hoisted Kemp away from the cliff at Crescent Bay Beach. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
The footage of the dramatic rescue highlights the teamwork and quick thinking of emergency responders in saving Kemp from a potentially dangerous situation. Despite the harrowing experience, Kemp was safely rescued and can now reflect on his cliffside adventure.
