Carrollton police have confirmed that 14-year-old Barbara Weeks, who was the subject of an Amber Alert, has been found safe in Mesquite. Barbara, who also goes by Blake, had been missing for a week before she was located nearly an hour after the alert was issued. The alert was requested by police after Barbara was last seen in the Carrollton area, although the alert issued by DPS stated she was last seen in Richardson. Both locations are in close proximity to DART stations. It is unclear if anyone will face criminal charges in connection to Barbara’s disappearance, as police have not provided details on where she was found or any suspect information.
