A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck near Malibu, California on Sunday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was located near Arroyo Sequit park in the Santa Monica Mountains, just north of Los Angeles. The quake sent noticeable shaking through the West San Fernando Valley and was followed by a series of aftershocks closer to the ocean. The USGS’s Community Internet Intensity map showed shaking as far south as Huntington Beach and as far north as Santa Barbara.
