Joel Sac Tambriz, 25, was arrested in Victoria in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that killed 30-year-old Daniel Cruces last year in Arlington. Tambriz was charged with collision involving death after witnesses reported Cruces being hit by a black Honda Civic while using a crosswalk. The driver did not stop, leaving Cruces dead at the scene. Tambriz was linked to the crime through digital evidence and belongings found in the abandoned vehicle, which was registered to him. Cruces’ wife, Megan Vogel, expressed the difficulty of coping with the loss, especially for their 7-year-old daughter. Tambriz is currently in custody in Victoria and will be extradited to Tarrant County to face charges. The Arlington police and FOX 4 provided information for this press article.
