Fort Worth man Dylan McLean Jones led police on a dangerous chase through several cities after telling a friend he “blacked out” and thinks he harmed his roommate, Ariel Levy, who was later found dead. According to a newly released affidavit, police were called for a welfare check at Levy’s apartment where Jones said something bad happened. He later showed up at another location admitting to killing Levy, with dried blood under his fingernails. Jones then led police on a chase through Fort Worth and surrounding areas, reaching speeds of up to 90 miles per hour before being apprehended in Hurst. Levy’s body was found in the apartment with a gunshot wound, with shell casings matching the gun found on Jones. Jones is currently held on a capital murder charge and evading arrest, with no bond set. Levy’s family described her as a wonderful person who will be deeply missed. Unanswered questions remain regarding the motive for the murder and the nature of Jones and Levy’s relationship. The case is ongoing as authorities continue their investigation.
