Arlington police have arrested 17-year-old Joshua Robinson for the murder of 19-year-old Zacchaeus Selby, a survivor of the 2021 Timberview High School shooting. The shooting occurred when Selby, who was selling guns on social media, met with Robinson, a potential buyer, at an apartment complex. An argument ensued during the transaction, leading to Robinson shooting Selby, who later died in the hospital. Robinson is currently being held in the Arlington City Jail without bond. Selby was previously involved in a high-profile case in 2021 when his classmate, Timothy Simpkins, shot him in a classroom at Timberview High School. Simpkins was convicted of attempted capital murder and is serving a 12-year prison sentence. During the trial, it was revealed that Selby had approached a fellow student and asked her to record the fight he was going to have with Simpkins. The defense argued that Simpkins brought a gun to defend himself against bullying by Selby, but police disputed these claims. The arrest of Robinson further adds to the tragic saga surrounding Selby, Simpkins, and the Timberview High School shooting.
