A grass fire ignited on the south side of Interstate 30 near the Loop 12 Interchange in Dallas on Tuesday morning. Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames, which reached heights of 10 to 15 feet before being put out with water. While the fire has been contained, white smoke continues to linger in the area. Drivers should be cautious of possible traffic delays as emergency crews continue to work in the vicinity. FOX 4 meteorologists had previously warned of the potential for grass fires as wind gusts became a concern in North Texas. The information in this article was provided by FOX 4 traffic anchor Chip Waggoner and TxDot cameras.
