The Grand Prairie Police Department is currently investigating a fatal drunk driving crash that occurred early this morning on Interstate 30 near MacArthur Blvd. The incident involved a Dodge truck pulling a utility trailer that was struck from behind by a Nissan passenger car while the truck was stopped on the emergency shoulder. The driver of the Nissan, who was allegedly intoxicated, will face charges of intoxication manslaughter. The passenger in the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver sustained injuries and is expected to survive. The driver of the Dodge truck was unharmed. The victim’s identity will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office once the family has been notified, and the driver of the Nissan remains unidentified.
