Father and son from Indiana rescue dog moments before tornado destroys kennel: Must see!

A family in northern Indiana rescued their dog just moments before a tornado tore through their backyard earlier this month. Anthony Stanley and his son rushed outside to bring their dog inside before the tornado destroyed their dog’s kennel and an adjacent storage shed. The tornado was confirmed to be an EF-1 strength tornado with winds of 110 mph, causing damage in the city of Gary.

This tornado was part of a series of tornadoes that hit the Mississippi Valley and the South, causing at least 40 deaths and destroying hundreds of structures across several states. Severe weather also returned to Indiana with heavy downpours and hail this week.

Meanwhile, the West Coast is also facing potential tornadoes as a weather system brings heavy showers, severe thunderstorms, and strong wind gusts. Forecasters are warning of possible tornadoes in the Pacific Northwest, with the system expected to reach the Northern Rockies and Southern California by Thursday evening. The region may experience up to 2 inches of hail until Thursday morning.

This recent spate of severe weather serves as a reminder of the importance of being prepared and staying safe during tornado season. The quick actions of the Stanley family in rescuing their dog highlight the importance of taking precautions and being vigilant during dangerous weather events.
