Sasha Aghili, a Texas woman, has saved over 1,000 dogs through her non-profit street dog rescue organization, Jack Jack’s Pack. Aghili, along with her family, volunteers, and foster homes, have dedicated themselves to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming lost, dumped, and abused dogs in Central Texas.
After the loss of her beloved rescue Chihuahua in 2021, Aghili’s mission to save vulnerable animals intensified. She works tirelessly to rescue dogs left behind, often in critical conditions, and provide them with a chance at a new life. The organization has spent over $222,000 on medical care for its rescues and relies heavily on donations to continue its work.
Aghili’s vision includes building “doggy condos” where rescued animals can de-stress and readjust to living with a family. Despite the challenges she faces, Aghili is determined to continue her efforts to save as many dogs as possible.
Her dedication to animal rescue has earned her a nomination for KXAN’s Remarkable Women contest, which recognizes women making significant contributions to their communities. Aghili’s impact on public policy and social progress through her work with Jack Jack’s Pack highlights the importance of her mission to save vulnerable dogs in Texas. Her story serves as a reminder of the importance of supporting organizations like Jack Jack’s Pack in their efforts to provide a safe haven for animals in need.
