La Grange, Texas siblings Ray and Carolyn Palla pay tribute to their beloved cats Misi and Spunky by dedicating a space in Texas A&M University’s new small animal teaching hospital. Misi and Spunky played a special role in the Pallas’ lives, providing comfort during difficult times, including their mother’s battle with cancer and hydrocephalus. Both cats were cherished members of the family and brought joy and love to their owners.
The Pallas, who have spent their entire lives in La Grange, wanted to honor the memory of their feline companions by dedicating the Misi and Spunky Feline Entry & Waiting Area at the Linda & Dennis Clark ’68 Small Animal Teaching Hospital. The space will be a calming area for cats and their owners visiting the hospital, which is set to open in August 2027.
Ray, a Texas A&M alum, and Carolyn have a deep connection to the university and felt it was the perfect place to honor Misi and Spunky. They hope that the dedication will provide comfort and support to other animals and their families in the future. The Pallas’ story is a reminder of the lasting impact pets can have on our lives, and the importance of recognizing and honoring their unique place in our hearts.
