They appreciated the kindness of the people in Texas but missed the food from California. Despite these challenges, they felt at home in Texas and were glad they made the move. The couple plans to stay in Texas long-term and eventually move to Amarillo. They found reassurance in Texas’s safer environment without the threat of wildfires like in California. Overall, the Ruiz family has adapted to life in Texas and are looking forward to a fresh start in their new home state.
