Officials seek missing individual following boat overturn near NYC


Crews are searching for a missing person after a boat capsized near Staten Island, New York, resulting in three confirmed deaths. The incident occurred in the Ambrose Channel off the coasts of Sandy Hook, New Jersey, and Staten Island and Queens. The U.S. Coast Guard received a distress call about a vessel taking on water Sunday afternoon. Five people were pulled from the water, with four found unresponsive. Two were airlifted to Staten Island University Hospital and three were taken to Coast Guard Station Sandy Hook. The search for the missing person is focused about five miles off the coast of Breezy Point in Queens.
