Authorities are currently investigating a small plane crash that occurred in Tarrant County, Texas with two individuals on board. The crash took place on Monday afternoon in an unincorporated area near Azle. Thankfully, both passengers were able to escape with only minor injuries. The plane caught fire, but the flames were quickly extinguished by firefighters. Unfortunately, the aircraft was completely destroyed in the incident.
Video footage from SKY shows the charred remains of the small plane, which has been identified as privately owned and not a military aircraft. The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office and the FAA have taken over the investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
At this time, it is unknown what led to the plane going down or if the fire was a result of the impact or pre-existing. Additionally, the ownership of the plane remains unclear.
